Island Camps

Campers with Counsellor

Campers are encouraged to challenge themselves through a wide range of daily activities such as kayaking, sailing, high ropes, rock tower climbing, swimming, mass games and more. Youth will learn about outdoor living, gain a respect for the natural environment we live in and develop friendships that last a lifetime.

Choose Your Summer Adventure!

  • 5-Day Camp (8 - 15 yrs): A 5-day island camp experience at the end of summer! Campers will stay in cabins sorted by age and will spend their days enjoying a wide variety of skill-building activities, participating in group games, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and everything else the island has to offer.

  • One Week (8 - 15 yrs): This exciting 1-week, on-island program offers a fun-packed, condensed experience of our traditional two-week camp. Perfect for first-time campers, especially those who may feel a little nervous about being away from home, this program is designed to provide a supportive and engaging introduction to camp life. Campers will have the opportunity to explore and enjoy a variety of our signature activities, ensuring they experience a taste of everything our camp has to offer.

  • Two Weeks (8 - 15 yrs): This dynamic 2-week program offers an immersive camp experience, combining adventure, competition, and personal growth. Campers of all ages—Juniors, Intermediates, and Seniors—will engage in legendary Camp Traditions, develop new skills, and build lifelong friendships. With age-appropriate opportunities for learning and fun, each camper will also experience a canoe trip from 1-3 nights tailored to their age and abilities. This program provides the perfect balance of challenge, exploration, and camaraderie, creating lasting memories for all.

  • Three Weeks Quatro (16 - 17 yrs): Rich in tradition, the Quatro program began as an exchange program with the Y in Spain (hence the name Quatro!) many years ago and is an exciting, skill-building adventure that expands upon campers’ Junior, Intermediate, and Senior experiences. Campers will earn badges across a variety of activities while also having the unique opportunity to gain real-world certifications, such as First Aid training. A highlight of the program is a 5-night canoe trip, where participants will immerse themselves in wilderness exploration. With access to the camp’s waterfront, climbing wall, and more, the Quatro program offers a dynamic and enriching summer experience that encourages personal growth, adventure, and achievement.

Cabin Life

Camp busses will depart from Winnipeg and travel 2.5 hours by highway coach to Kenora, Ontario where they will then take a short boat ride to Camp Stephens.

Campers will live in rustic cabins with up to 10 campers, sorted by age group, along with two experienced counsellors. Cabins are equipped with electricity, bunkbeds and storage space. A separate, shared washroom and shower facility is located in a central area of the camp and separated by gender. All camper’s meals are served “family style” in the main dining hall, with campers eating with their cabin-mates, helping set and clear the table and serving the food as a team.

Island Life

Lount Lodge is home to many indoor games, skits, fireplace chats and quiet reflection. Just a few steps away is the Bonnycastle Wellness Centre, run by a trained coordinator who is responsible for the care and well-being of everyone on the island.

Last but not least, the magnificent water front - we are on an island! Campers can enjoy jumping off the designated swim docks and floating rafts, learn about the local aquatic life or practice their skills on a range of water crafts.
