Helping You Reduce Your Risk

You can lower your risk of developing type 2 diabetes by making changes to your diet and activity levels.

Small Steps for Big Changes is an evidence-based diabetes prevention program that helps people make lasting diet and exercise changes. The program consists of six one-on-one sessions over one month. Clients receive personalized exercise training, learn motivational techniques to help stick with exercise and strategies for meal planning. Includes one month free membership at the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg.
