Youth Leadership Program

Today's Youth, Tomorrow's Leaders

The Youth Leadership Program empowers young people aged 13-17 by providing them with the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to become effective leaders in their communities. Build confidence, gain skills for the future and meet new people.

The Youth Leadership Program is FREE at all four Community Hubs.  No membership is required. The 2024-25 program runs Sept 20, 2024 – June 20, 2025, however enrolment is on-going and youth can join the program at anytime.

Camp Stephens Leadership Development Program

The Leadership Development Program is a six-week program designed for 16 -17 year-olds.

At Camp Stephens, we are committed to training young people with the personal skills and leadership abilities that will be the foundation throughout their lives. It is our hope that applicants who experience our Leadership Development Program will become leaders wherever life takes them.

If you’re looking to become a leader at camp and in your everyday life, then the six-week co-ed Leadership Development Program experience is for you! In the first two weeks, you will get to know yourself – and other participants – by taking part in a two-week canoe trip. Your second two weeks will be spent in camp, learning the ropes of how to be an effective leader. Your final two weeks will be spent job shadowing a counsellor and putting your new skills into practice as you lead a group of campers!

Each summer, we select a group of young adults who show true leadership potential to participate in our program. Applicants accepted into the program are in for the summer of a lifetime!
