Y Winnipeg offers day camp options for Spring Break, Winter Break and Summer. There are four (4) camp streams: Day Camp, Kinder Camp, Swim Camp and Specialty Camps.
Day Camp is available for children aged 6 to 12, while Kinder Camp is for children aged 4 to 5. All programs provide a balance of activities and experiences (swimming, sports, creative play, songs, gym games, etc.), encouraging campers to discover new skills and talents. During the summer season, different themes and speciality camps are woven into the overall experience - making each summer camp week unique!

Camp is available for children aged 4 to 12. Please note that staff do not provide assistance in the washroom and/or with changing. Campers are required to be able to go to the washroom and change themselves independently.
Campers are assigned to groups according to their age and the curriculum is designed with each groups’ age, abilities and interests in mind. Campers will spend the majority of the day with their assigned group.

We select day camp staff who embrace our core values and philosophy, with a heart and passion for developing youth. Staff are certified in First-Aid and CPR, trained in child protection and have passed background checks via local law enforcement as well as character reference checks. Staff also receive camp specific training prior to the start of each day camp session.
Yes - we welcome outside inclusion workers into our camp programs! All inclusion staff attending one of our camps must meet with the Day Camp Coordinator prior to the start of camp. Inclusion staff must provide a Child Abuse Registry Check, a Criminal Record Check (if over 18) or work for an organization that confirms they have already provided these documents.
No. Summer day camp registrations are weekly (swim camps are 2 weeks) therefore you only register for the week(s) you require care. We do not offer a per day summer camp option.
Change requests and cancellations must be provided in writing 14 days in advance of the day camp start date in order to receive a full refund (less a 20% fee). We do our best to accommodate changes when space allows. No refunds will be issued past the deadline. All fees are non-transferable.

At drop-off or pick-up, please feel free to speak to the on-site day camp supervisor. If you have a concern about your child's camp experience, we ask that you share it with us immediately so we can work towards a better experience for you and your child.
On the first day of camp, check the whiteboard for upcoming special activities, news and scheduled off-site excursions.
